Myran Green

Ms. Myran Green died peacefully in hospice on April 6th, 2024, in Pompano Beach, Florida at the age of 73. Myran Green is survived by her daughter Tabitha (Hillis) Cason, son Travis Green, three sisters, Gloria Jean (Floyd) Carvin, Henrietta (Chester- deceased) Harris, and Celestine Green, special granddaughter Shalonda Johnson, beloved nieces Danielle (Leron) Parrish, Latoya (Demerick) Powell, Chantel (Kellen) Arnold. She leaves behind six grandchildren Adrian Jones, Trevian Cason, Tevin Johnson, Jakari Cason and Tabria Cason, three great-grandchildren Kayden Georges, Brooklyn Georges, and Mariah Cason and her many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father Henry Green, her mother Mary Lee Green, daughter Yolanda Green, brother Stanley Green, granddaughter Shawntavia Cason and great grandson Ja’kai Jones. Myran Green was born on August 12th in Pompano Beach, Florida to Henry and Mary Lee Green, she graduated from Ely High School. Her children remember her as a beloved mother, a fierce grandmother and a supportive friend. Her legacy is one of resilience, laughter, and unwavering love. Myran Green was a tireless worker and served as a retail clerk for many years at Ward’s City Department Store and Walmart until her retirement. Whether it was tending to the needs of her family, managing a household alone side her sister Celestine, she approached every task with dedication and a strong work ethic. Her hands bore the calluses of labor, but her heart overflowed with kindness. Her wit could turn even the gloomiest day into a sunlit memory. She had a knack for finding joy in the simplest moments, and her smile brought warmth to our homes. We’ll forever cherish those fun times of her dancing her heart out to the sounds of James Brown, and even singing her joyful praises to the Lord. Family meant everything to Myran Green. She reveled in family gatherings, where meals were savored, and love flowed freely. The kitchen was a hub of warmth and delicious aromas, and her laughter were the best medicine for any ailment. Myran Green leaves behind a legacy of intense love, hard work, and laughter. Her memory will forever be etched in our hearts, and her spirit will continue to guide us. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so generously gave.
