Lamar Miles

The Life & Legacy of Lamar Miles Lamar Miles was born on December 18th, 1949 to the late Odessa Abraham and Samuel Green. He was raised by his mother and step-father PG Abraham. He joined Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Melbourne Florida at an early age. He graduated from Melbourne High school in 1969 and enlisted in the Air Force, in the generational footsteps of his father, uncle and grandfather. He sacrificed himself and showed his love for this country. After he was honorably discharged from the Air Force he returned to Melbourne, Florida. He attended Brevard Community College, while Disk Jockeying at the biggest night club in town. He married his high school sweetheart Charlene Bradford Miles in 1976 in West Palm Beach, FL He had a magnetic personality. When people met him, they liked him immediately and if you knew him you loved him. He enjoyed dancing and listening to music. While he loved watching sports he especially enjoyed cheering for the Miami Dolphins. He joined Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in the early nineties. Later he found great joy in being a member of the men’s choir at Antioch. He was also a member of the Couples Ministry where he really enjoyed fellowshipping with like-minded brothers & sisters. On many occasions he would also volunteer in the church’s improvement projects. He held many positions in his lifetime primarily in the construction industry and retired from his master carpenter’s position in 2014. Lamar leaves to cherish his memories with his loving wife Charlene Bradford Miles, of Tamarac, FL; two sons: Jesse Doles (Lorette) of Coral Springs, & Patrick LeAndres Miles (Taquesta) of Margate, FL; four grandchildren: Justin Tyler Doles, Tatyana Aaliyah Miles, Ariana Christine Doles & Payton Lamar Miles; sister Linda Silmon of Birmingham AL; Goddaughter Crystal NeSmith of Deerfield Beach, FL; a special aunt Clara P Smith of Melbourne, FL; uncle George Pittman of Melbourne, FL; brother-in law, Robert Bradford of Melbourne, FL; and a host of loving cousins and dear friends.
