Emma Branch

Deaconess Emma Jean Branch, a humble servant of the Lord earned her wings early in the morning on Friday, February 2nd. Jehovah Shalom whispered softly, “well done thy good and faithful servant” your work on earth is finished and you may take your rest now. Emma gracefully unveiled her wings and entered His eternal peace. Emma Branch was born on November 14, 1941, in Hahira, Georgia to the parentage of the late Clarance Walker and Bertha M. Ealy Walker. Preceded her in death were both parents and her beloved sister Helen E. Walker Crouch. In 1956, Emma moved to Florida, attended Blanche Ely High School (Class of 1960) and received her diploma. Emma accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and dedicated her life to serving Him entirely. She was a faithful member of Greater Bethel AME Church for more than 50 years. She served in several capacities within the church. She was an usher, a stewardess, the Church School Superintendent, a trustee, sung in the chorus, and serviced on the finance committee. In addition, on September 19, 2019, Emma was appointed and concreated Deaconess. Emma married Linnie Branch Jr. on January 14, 1966, and they had six children. She was a homemaker, seamstress, an exceptional cook, a strong godly woman, an excellent mother/grandmother, wife, aunt, and friend. In her latter days, she was a part-time receptionist at B’Nai B’Rith Apartment-Deerfield. The memories of Emma Jean Branch shall forever be engraved in the hearts of her family and friends. Preceding her in death was her husband, Linnie Branch, Jr., and daughter, Melinda Jean Branch Scott. She leaves to cherish her memories: three (3) sons, Andre’ Andrews of Haines City, FL., Adrian Andrews (Rhonda) of The Woodlands, Texas, Raymond Andrews of Coconut Creek, Fl., and two (2) daughters, Dorothy (Danny) Streete of Austell, Georgia, Lanelda (Jessie) Gaskins of Deerfield Beach, FL., one (1) son-in-law, Terance Scott of Deerfield Beach, FL., one (1) brother-in-law, Jasper Branch of Deerfield Beach, FL., 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
