Barbara Jean Daniels

A warring soldier that has fought the good fight of faith, passing the mantle of love that trusting in God to endure until the end. Deaconess Barbara Jean Daniels was born on March 2, 1937, in Panama City Beach, Florida to the parentage of Dennie S. and Fannie D. Clemmons both whom preceded her in death. She was the fifth born of twelve children, where she attended Bay County School System until the family relocated to Deerfield Beach in the early 1940's. She then attended the Broward County School System and became a caretaker as a teenager. She met the love of her life her one and only- James Edward Daniels, the father of her beautiful children: three boys and one precious daughter- Charles, James, Larry and Cathryn where the family resided in Pompano Beach. One of her pastimes was being one of the singers with The Original Violinettes of Pompano Beach. She accepted Christ at a very young age; she received the baptism of the Holy Spirit residing as a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. She began to do ministry works for the Lord by singing, teaching. encouraging others and ministering wherever God led her by touching many lives. Later in life God led her to the family’s church The House of God Keith Dominion in Deerfield Beach under the leadership of Elder Moses Poole. She was gifted as an ordained Deaconess, Church Mother, and Missionary Board Member. Her works for the Lord included: singing in the choir, Pastor Aide Committee, and dedicated to being a willing worker for God. Barbara also completed her medical field training as a registered nurse at the North Broward Hospital in Pompano Beach. She was known to have several nicknames by her family and special friends. Affectionally known as “Dr. Daniels”, because of her medical background. “BJ” as a favorite auntie, sister, and wife. “Green Gardener” for being the best green thumb, and dirt digger, Mordy, Grammy and Champ Jr. to name others. She leaves to cherish her loving memories husband: James E. Daniels; children: Charles E. (Mattie), James D. (preceded her in death), Larry G. (preceded her in death), and Cathryn (James), and she mothered two sons: James Daniels, Jr., and Anthony Daniels. She held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren: Chrystal R. Daniels-Lamar (Robert, II), Lorna Daniels, Jeremy Daniels, Hilary Daniels-Renaud (Tywann), JayTonya Martin, James E. Martin, II (Shanda), Kevin Soto (preceded her in death), Tashon Martin, and Victoria Martin-King; 26 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, 16 special grandchildren; and 24 special great-grandchildren and her dearly beloved brothers and sisters, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special dignitaries, Bishops, and Pastors.
