Wilson Fenelon
April 2, 1951 - April 6, 2021
Obituary of Wilson Fénelon “Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope” (1 Thessalonians 4:13 NIV). Wilson lived all his childhood at Grand- Riviere du Nord. He moved to Port-au-Prince in 1975 leaving behind his first son Wilfried Fenelon. He worked as a skillful tailor in a major clothes factory. He spent time with his beloved sister Ema, then moved to his brother Sosthene Fénelon’s house at Ruelle Gabellus where he met his former wife Yvrose Jean- Baptist, who passed away in January, 2021. Wilson Fénelon left Haïti in 1982 and he moved to the United States to seek for a better life. Wilson Fénelon had a big heart who was willing to help everyone around him. He worked tirelessly, and returned to Haiti where he married Yvrose in 1985. This union produced three wonderful children, Dickson Fénelon, Robinson Fénelon and Brenda Fénelon. During his time in the US, he became very sick. In 2005, Wilson was admitted to North Shore nursing home where he lived until his last breath, April 6, 2021. To his surviving sisters Ulna Fénelon Charles and Ema Fénelon Magloire, to his surviving brother Felix Fenelon and his sisters in law: Marie Therese Fenelon, Elia Dieu-Juste and Julienne Lorcy Fénelon, to his sons Wilfried, Dickson and Robinson Fénelon and daughter Brenda Fenelon, our sincere condolences. May the LORD console your heart.
