Taijah Lydia Jules

Taijah Lydia Jules was born on January 4, 1999, in Christiansted, St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands, to George Jules and Tabitha Odlum. Taijah attended the St. Croix Christian Academy prior to relocating to South Florida with her mother and brother, Malachi, in 2008. Although she was now in Florida, her father maintained a daily presence in her life. In Florida, Taijah attended Oakridge Elementary School, New River Middle School, Deerfield Beach High School and Florida A&M University. Japanese culture was Taijah’s passion. She understood and spoke a little of the native language and maintained a long-standing friendship with her elementary school pen-pal in Japan. Not surprising at all, Taijah was the president of the Anime Club in college. Her favorite color was pink; all shades of pink – especially baby pink; it was always the default color on her fingers and toes when she did not feel adventurous. She was also an avid animal lover from childhood, which carried into her studies of Animal Science as one of her two majors at Florida A&M University. Recently she rescued two kittens, Isa, and Lily which are among a long list of animals she provided homes for or saved. Taijah shared a long-term relationship for a little over five years with her boyfriend Keon Williams, who was not only her boyfriend, but also her best friend. Keon will always be thought of as a member of the family. Taija was an organizer, which tied perfectly into her second major in college – Business Administration. She hoped to own and operate a farm one day on the Island of St. Croix. Taijah had many wonderful attributes and was extremely thoughtful and kindhearted. She was always willing and ready to help anyone in need. By the time Taijah went into the coma, on November 8, 2023, she already had birthday presents wrapped and bagged for both of her little sisters, Tegan and Leann, whose birthdays are both later in the month of November. Taijah was always very studious from childhood and throughout college. She read and typed at an extremely fast pace and exceled throughout her schooling. There was an occasion in college where she completed an entire final exam in six (6) minutes, which earned her a perfect score of one hundred percent (100%), in accuracy and knowledge, and a dumbfounded and awestruck response from her professor. She maintained being on the Dean’s List annually with a 4.5 GPA, because of her advanced classes. She was employed by Successories Custom Corporate Gifts and Employee Awards Shop in Boca Raton, FL, where she forged new friendships and enjoyed her work as an Account Associate. Taijah was especially fascinated by the high-profile clientele of well-known sporting, gaming, and entertainment events her employer served. It was a thrill for her particularly because she was an active online gamer. In Taijah’s spare time she enjoyed watching Anime and online gaming. She and her only brother, Malachi, shared a very close bond in the latter years of her life. They would hang out together, take goofy selfies, and along with Keon, they even created the ultimate Fortnite online gaming team to take on the world. Taijah would always check-up on Malachi, like a mom would a son, to the extent that she would even track his whereabouts with her phone. She was an amazing big sister to her siblings. Her grandparents, parents, uncles, aunts, siblings, boyfriend, and friends have all recounted and shared special recollected moments of Taijah. She truly was beautiful inwardly and outwardly. Around July of 2023, the Holy Spirit led Taijah to seek a better understanding of the Most-High God. The questions were flooding in from Taijah, and her mother, grandmother Lona, and family friend Weena McFarlane all had the opportunity to share Christ with Taijah. On August 21, 2023, Taijah’s “baby pink” King James Version Bible was delivered and her personal relationship and journey with the Lord gained new life. It brings her family endless joy to know that she has a relationship with the Most-High God.
