Rosetta Doctor

December 31, 1942 - June 6, 2021

Obituary I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 2 Timothy 4:7 Rosetta Travis Doctor was born to the late Booker T and Addie Travis on December 31, 1942 in Pompano Beach, Florida. She received her early education at Pompano Project Elementary School. She was a graduate from Blanche Ely High School Class of 1961. She was employed with Broward County Facility Management and retired in 2008 after 25 years of service. At an early age, Rosetta became a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend C. Mack. She later became a member of The Apostle Church of Jesus Christ under the leadership of Elder David Butler. On February 21, 1964 she was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Joseph Doctor. Rosetta loved making hats, sewing and doing upholstery. She was an excellent provider for her family. She leaves to mourn six children: Cozzie Johnson (Gaylon) of Aurora, CO, Terrtric Doctor, Nikitress Doctor, Antione Doctor (Melissa), Trenesia Doctor (Shawn), Uwevon Doctor all of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; sisters: Betty Rayson of Pompano Beach, FL and Ida Pearl Jackson of Fort Lauderdale, FL; brother: Booker T. Travis, Jr. of Pompano Beach, FL; nineteen grandchildren: Raymond Perkins, Jr., Cordero Perkins, Stedmond Perkins, Felicia Owens, Tedric Middleton, Cedric Middleton, Sherida Howell, Terrtric Doctor, Jr., Chloe Doctor, George Lewis, Jr., Alifonte Jones, Antionesia Doctor, Antione Doctor, Jr., Twandrika Doctor and Ta’Shon Twiggs; eighteen great grandchildren; a special niece and nephew: Shenita Rolle (Eglon III), Derryel Rhone; sisters-in-law: Mildred Yates, Josephine Boatwright, Jeanette Wright all of Walterboro, SC; brothers-in-law: Jacob and James of Waterboro, SC, Issac Doctor of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Edward Doctor (Gloria) of Pompano Beach, FL; three Godchildren: Anette Arnette, Michael Daniels and Matthew Alford and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, family and friends.
