Margie Morris

January 6, 1946 - April 28, 2021

This is the joyful celebration of the homegoing of our dearly beloved Sister, Margie Ruth Morris. The second born into the union of the late, Mr. Earl Dene Brown and Mrs. Cleo Ruth Carter-Brown, in the year of 1946 on January 6th, in Plains, GA, on the Carter Plantation. She joined the heavenly host on Wednesday 28th of April 2021. There she met with her siblings who transitioned long before her. They are: Daisy Bell Brown, Mary Lue Brown, Clifford Brown, Gary Brown, Bobby Gene Brown, Ernest Dene Brown, Sr., Freddie James Brown. Margie Ruth Brown grew up in Deerfield Beach, FL. She attended Braithwaite Elementary School, Deerfield Beach, FL. She later attended Blanche Ely High School, in Pompano Beach, FL, where she also integrated studies at Dillard High School, with a concentration in Cosmetology. She graduated from Blanche Ely High School, June 10, 1965. Margie later united in a holy union with the late, Mr. Charles Morris, which lasted for 42yrs. Margie also attended Business College, where she acquired secretarial and office skills. Looking back over her life, she was like a big protective covering over her sisters and brothers, because of her bravery and strength!!! I don't think she had not one fearful cell or bone in her body!!! In the early 1970’s, she joined Holy Temple #1 under the leadership pf Overseer Boykin Hunter until his death in 1984. Bishop Ernest Johnson became her pastor for several years. In the year of 1999, she became a member of the Holy Temple Worship Center under the leadership of Bishop Dr. Joseph B. Hunter. She served faithfully and well until God called her from labor to reward. She will be greatly missed by the church family and the entire Church of Christ Upon The Rock of The Apostolic Faith Intl., Inc. Margie leaves to cherish her memories, Mrs. Sylvia Poiter, her godmother, two Sisters: Eva Pauline Wiggins of Woodbridge, VA, Kathy Lue Brown, aka (Susie), Riverdale, MD, Susie is the nickname given to Kathy by Margie!!! Two Brothers: Nesbert McArthur Brown, Deerfield Beach, FL, and Elijah Brown, Pompano Beach, FL. She also has two godchildren: Moses and Berlinda, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Aunt Rosa Mae Thomas, Riveria Beach, FL. And there is a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends. Although Margie never had her own biological children, she was allowed to share a loving motherly relationship with Dr. Pamela R. Wiggins, Eva Pauline Wiggins first born child.
