Ivan Henry Blakely Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ivan Blakely was born on August 23, 1968 to the parentage of the late Wallace Reed, Sr. and the late Edith Blakely of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was the last of seven children, having five precede him in death. Those five are Edwin Blakely, Carolyn Blakely, Sabrina Reed, Ruloveya Blakely and Janice Child (James Child). Ivan was educated throughout the Broward County School System: McNab Elementary School, Pompano Middle School and Blanche Ely High School. Ivan dedicated 15 years to his career with the company UPS (United Parcel Service) He was very special to the UPS family. Ivan worked hard, he was devoted and dedicated to his duties and the staff at UPS. In the year of 1999 Ivan met the love of his life Mrs. Shavonna Blakely. Together to this marriage, they built a beautiful family and life together. He cherished his wife and kids very much. Ivan leaves to cherish his memories his children: Javonna Blakely, Keisha Love (Carl Love), Ivan Blakely, Jr., Demetrious Lewis, Shakayla Blakely, Javon Blakely, Cornisha McFadden, Brittany Foster, Le’Darious Oliver, Jr.. Siblings: Rita Hope (Nathaniel Hope), Linda Smith, Wallace Reed, Jr., all of Pompano Beach. 10 grandkids, a host Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and loving friends and Co-Workers. Ivan leaves behind a legacy of true love. Always teaching and proving unconditional love and loyalty. He taught the lesson among his family “Family is Everything”. He taught this lesson through his actions and emotions. He would always be the mediator to diffuse any family issue. He did not like the word “Goodbye”. He would always say “See you later”. Ivan touched the hearts of many and left an impression on most. He had the heart of gold. Trying to help all he could. He would give his last to those in need. Ivan was one of the biggest Miami dolphin fans you meet in this lifetime, “but never wanted anyone to know”. He loved to play football, video games and travel with family.
