Celebrating The Life Of Gilbert Alexandre Mr. Gilbert Alexandre was born on February 9, 1944, in Port-de Paix (Gola), Haiti. He was a devout Catholic and a true man of God. Mr. Alexandre was a practical joker with a generous heart of gold. A hard worker and resilient in figure in the face of adversity who never hesitated to help people out. Mr. Gilbert migrated to Nassau, Bahamas at the age of seventeen. There he worked odd jobs before finding his passion in construction. Mr. Gilbert, also known as Mr. Al, was preceded in death by his father, Guilbert Alexandre; mother, Goasena Alexandre and brother Vilbrium Alexandre. On May 6, 2022, Gilbert passed away at the age of 78, due to metastatic cancer from an unspecified origin. Just like Mr. Al dealt with all experiences in life, he managed his illness with strength. He peacefully set sail in the arms of his wife Magalie Fenelus-Alexandre, 54 years of marriage. Gilbert battled cancer during the last six months, showed his courage in facing life challenges with bravery. Despite the pain, Mr. Alexandre came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. Mr. Alexandre was generous with his time, labor and monetarily. He loved to play the lottery, “Haitian Bolet” and scratch tickets. Mr. Al would always ask “what dream one had so that he can play numbers”. He used his trade, skills to improve neighbors’ property. On a regular basis, Gilbert financially supported family in Haiti. Gilbert was old school and honorable. He spoke the truth, his mind and stood by his beliefs. Gilbert is survived by his children: Doreen Adderly, Anael Noel, Gilbert Alexandre, Marie F. Anesca, Julienne Alexandre, Yanick Alexandre, Nadege A. Nortelus, Heribert Alexandre and Marcus A. Alexandre: grandchildren, Dinachely Noel, Angela Noel, Daniel N. Noel, Jovan Condrey, Victor Manuel, Khalil Manuel, Jordan Pierre, Logan Alexandre, Damon Alexandre, Ashley Anesca, Elizabeth Anesca, Francis Noel, Franky Noel, Elijah Noel, Tyler Alexandre, Christian Alexandre, Justin Laurent, Jason Laurent, Bradley Laurent, Sydney A. I thank you for the love you have shown, but now it is time I travel on alone so grieve for me a while, if grieve you must, then let your grief be comfort by trust, it is only for a while we must part, so treasure the memories within your heart. I won’t be far away for life goes on. And if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can’t see or touch me, I will be near, and if you listen with your heart, you’ll hear, all my love around you soft and clear.
