Roy Osborne

Mr. Roy Osborne was born on February 16, 1955 in Boca Raton, Florida to the late Mrs. Azzile Jackson Osborne and Mr. Joe Osborne Sr. Roy was a good athlete in his school age day’s from football to bas- ketball with his best friend (Glen Wallace) right by his side. Roy worked in landscaping and tree trimming for many years. Roy was a hard work- ing man and always went above and beyond to make sure his family was taken care of. Roy showed love to everyone and was there to help even when he wasn’t 100%. April of 1982 Roy Osborne met the love of his life Pearline. When we met it was love at first sight. On May 24, 1983 was an extra special day for us. We had a son Roy Osborne Jr. I know it was the Lord that made it all happen thru thick and thin. Roy not only spent time with our son he was a father figure to the kids in the neighborhood. Showing them bas- ketball techniques to Godson Kenny, and close friends to our son Stanley, Deon, Dwight and Terrance. Roy did it all never left anyone out. Through it all I know God gave me the strength to take over when my husband became ill. Through it all I was there by his side. I knew he did his best to hold on but I knew in my heart your time was near the end, wishing I could take you and start over again. Between you, our son and God you were my closest friend, but this is not how I wanted it to end. So now you’re in heaven watching down over me and our son, wor- rying no more because you’re our special Angel I see. Mourn no more and think of the happy times, that’s what I’m going to do now. On January 3, 1997 Roy Osborne Sr. married his soulmate Pearline and were blessed to be married for 21 years but best friends for 35 years prior to his death on Thursday, December 21, 2017 in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He was preceded in death by his brother Jessie Woodbury and Joe Osborne; sister Martha Clay and Brenda Wilfork Williams; and daugh- ter Lataya Osborne. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Pearline Osborne; Son, Roy Osborne Jr. Daughter-in-law Latasha Osborne; God son Kenny Gates; Brother Ralph Osborne James Love (Anie), Glen Wallace (Andrea), and sister, Dorthy Gammage (Henry); favorite niece Zaradadean Gammage and nephew Sherman Gammage, Travis Gammage (Glendrea); Grand daughters Carlisha Myers, Lexus Myers, Shaila Osborne, Shyanna Osborne, and Allasia Osborne; Grandsons Tyrell Osborne and Traevant Osborne; Great Grand daughters Fredlisha, Re’mya, Isabella, Simone and Sa’riyah; and a host of other rel- atives and friends.
