Peguy Mompremier

His story: Peguy Mompremier (Mr. Blackie) was born July 17th 1970, In Cap-Haitian. He was the youngest child out of 4 and born of late (Mom name) and (Dad name). He was raised by his maternal grandfather. From a young age he was very independent. He learned many skills from his mother and grandfather. He came from Haiti and traveled to Guantanamo Bay with the help of his uncle at the age of 18. When he arrived, he lived with family in South Florida. He was pursuing his dreams of own his own business while doing that he started his first job in a restaurant as a dishwasher and since then he has learned how to work in the kitchen and learned how to work all the stations throughout his career. Though he could not complete his dream of owning his own business he became the best line cook there was. He was a man who was all about business and no play but always tend to have people gravitate to him no matter what. He was well respected, charismatic, loyal, dedicated and had such a bright spirit. He was loving and forgiving man no matter who hurt him. While growing into his new life in FL he was blessed with 6 beautiful children: Gregory, Elizabeth, Gyland, Thatyana, Asaac and Peguy Jr and his 2 grandkids: Guyvenson Mompremier, and Avea Noa Ferdinand. Peguy always wanted to see his kids be happy. While working hard here in America he was also supporting his nieces and nephews: Velina Pierre, Wislene Maxime, Guerline Maxime, Reginal Mompremier, and Watson Mompremier. His passions where fishing, soccer, cowboy movies, American football his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys, listening music especially reggae, cooking, cleaning and always looking fly in his pumas. He really hated Nikes. Later in life he was blessed to meet his life partner Monica Palacio who motivated him to be his best self. They grew to be best friends who laughed, cried and learned together and he gained a new family with her. Peguy was a man who knew how to make new friends wherever he went. He had the biggest smile, loudest laughs and the tightest hugs. He was really loud and did not care. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
