Michael Turner

A Time to Be Born . . . Michael Turner was born December 16, 1959, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to the parents of Reverend Hugh C. Turner, Sr and the late Mary Gallon Turner. A Time to Reflect . . . Michael began his journey of worship at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Deer- field Beach, Florida under the leadership of the late Reverend Dr. Jimmy Brown and Reverend Murray. Michael attended Deerfield Beach Elementary, Deerfield Middle, before graduating from Deerfield Beach High School. His passion for cooking excelled him in becoming a Sous Chef for TGIF Friday’s, Morrison Cafeteria, and Deerfield Beach Country Club. Michael continued to serve the community in various ways with another passion in funeral service. He served as an Embalmer’s apprentice with John Arthurs and a funeral home attendant with Rahming Funeral Home in Deerfield Beach. Being the compassionate person and his eagerness to help those in need, he continued his service with First Protocol Security Group escorting funerals for various funeral homes in the South Florida area. A Time to Mourn . . . On April 8, 2020, the Lord saw your humbled spirit getting tired, weary, weak, and worn and chose to call you from your earthly tabernacle to a home not built by man’s hand. He leaves to cherish his memories his children: Felicia (Maurice) Turner-Permenter, Courtney Turner, Lakesha Phillips, Sabrina Phillips, Theophilus (Lakwanya) Turner, Derek Bryant, Tavares Knowles, Kimmerly Turner, Stacy Turner, Renisha (Shannon) Turner-Jackson, Kevin Bryant, Michael Turner Jr., Crystal McCutcheon, Sabrina (Eldrid Jr.) Turner, Dominique McCutcheon, Michelle Knowles, Marion McCutcheon, Shakira Wheeler all of Broward County, Florida. Brothers & Sisters: Dr. Rosemary Elaine Turner-Presley, Elder Dr. Rosalind Griffin, Lureatha Turner, Hugh C. Turner II, Karen Turner, Theophilus (Madeyln) Hamilton, Valencia (David) Hanna, Jerry Turner, Cheryl Gibbons, Lynette Doster, Deborah (Johnny) Zanders, Jeffrey Olriedge, and Toleda Turner. Darryl Turner (preceded in death, 2016). To continue his legacy, he leaves 41 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that he loved very dearly. Also, a special appreciation for his longtime companion Patricia McCall.
