The Life of Lexley Nelson Mohorn Scripture St. John 14:1-3 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. Lexley Nelson Mohorn, affectionately known as “YAYA”, was born in Pompano Beach Florida on March 21,1953 to the late Alise Nelson and Leroy Brown. Her education began in Broward County school systems and her formative years were spent in the beautiful city of Pompano Beach Florida. She came from a strong family who believed in working hard and sticking together. Lexley, was a community advocate, she opened her home to anyone in need. She was a true caregiver, who had the heart to help whomever God sent her way. One of Lexley’s accomplishments was that she self-taught herself about computers and printing. Lexley, then began her journey of entrepreneurship in making T-shirts for family and friends. Lexley, was loved by a host of family and friends and those who came in contact with her. Lexley’s spirit and laugh was truly infectious, and you knew the favor of God was around her. Lexley, will be remembered for her bright smile and dimples, anyone who knew Lexley, knew she loved her children, grandchildren and great grands and her family. Lexley’s memories will forever be cherished by her best friend Lucious Hankins Sr. and her 2 devoted living children Malissa L. Hankins, of Pompano Beach, FL. (Ted Williams) Leonard B. Hankins of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., (Mary Russell - Hankins) and her stepchildren Stephanie Y. Hankins - Hugley of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., (Lamart Hugley) and Deborah D. Hankins of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She leaves 6 grandchildren. Tyler Hankins, Jenaryah Hankins, Lennard Hankins, Larissa Collins, Ashante Collins, and Ted Williams Jr., III and two great grands Legac’i Hankins, Willie (TACO) Tindall III. Siblings - Jeannette Arrington, Sally Shivers, Fred Nelson, Elijah James, Jackie James all of Pompano Beach, FL. Lexley, will be preceded in death by: Derrick Hankins, Leonard Hankins Jr., Lucious Hankins Jr., Lamar Jackson Sr., James Nelson, Bonita Nelson and Francias Brown.
