Leonardo Davinci Kyles

Leonardo DaVinci “Knottie” Kyles, a cherished son, devoted brother, loving father, proud grandfather, dedicated business owner, and faithful partner, transitioned from this life on the evening of May 14, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on September 23, 1964, in Pompano Beach, Florida, Leonardo was the beloved son of the late Addie Lee Howard Kyles and Willie Eddie Kyles, Sr. He was raised in a strong and loving family, side by side with his brothers the late Willie Eddie “Porkey” Kyles and Lafayette Kyles, and his sisters Esther Mae Kyles Noltion and Dethrice Ann Kyles. As a boy, Leonardo was full of life and adventure—riding horses and dirt bikes and playing with the same boundless energy that would carry him through life. He played little league and high school football, displaying the discipline and spirit that marked his character from an early age. Leonardo worked with his father in the family business, learning the values of hard work, integrity, and resilience. These early experiences shaped him into the entrepreneurial man he would become—eventually establishing himself as a successful business owner, committed to building a legacy for his family. He was first married early in life to his first wife Arletha “Tammy” Woodard and from that union came the greatest joys of his heart—his children: Erika Russ, Eriko Kyles, Erike Kyles, Erick Terry, and his Eldest children: Erica McDuffie and Dwayne Kyles. He embraced fatherhood with a sense of pride and purpose, always striving to protect, guide, and uplift his children. He was also blessed with grandchildren: Damarkis, Daijah, Kennedy, Kyleigh, Kymone, Kymani,British and Milan, each of whom brought him deep joy and laughter. His love and wisdom will live on in them. In his final years, Leonardo settled and found companionship with Tasha Green. Their journey together was a meaningful and fulfilling chapter of his life, marked by mutual respect and genuine connection. Affectionately known as “Knottie,” Leonardo had a presence that could not be ignored. He was bold, loving, humorous, loyal, and always unapologetically himself. His memory is forever etched in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing him. Leonardo leaves behind a rich legacy of love, family, hard work, and resilience. He will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, siblings, aunts and uncles, extended family, and a vast community of friends. A celebration of his life will be held in the coming days, and the family invites all who knew and loved him to gather in remembrance and honor of his remarkable life. Rest well, Knottie.
