Profile of Life Kaleatha Chinta Wimberly Kaleatha “K.C.” Wimberly was born on August 8, 1986, in Pompano Beach, Florida. She leaves behind loving parents Annie Mae Wimberly and Fred Wimberly, Jr. Kaleatha attended Pompano Beach High School’s Magnet Program, where she was a member of the band and played three instruments; the clarinet, piccolo and flute. She attended Florida Memorial University in Miami Gardens, Florida where she graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work. Kaleatha also pursued a Masters of Education in Counselor Education for Rehabilitation. After college, Kaleatha worked for the State of Florida as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. Since 2017, she worked for OIC of South Florida as a Job Coach and Case Manager. She was passionate about helping others including helping to rehabilitate inmates in the Florida Prison system and regularly went above and beyond. She was a woman of many talents who made an impact on everyone she met! Kaleatha enjoyed music, playing soccer, and makeup! She was an excellent cook who loved to decorate, organize and read. She was an avid traveler and loved to visit different countries, learning about cultures and meeting new people. She was happiest when she was spending time with family or helping others. Kaleatha had a heart of gold. Her family and friends will always remember her amazing smile and infectious laughter. She was loyal, kind and brave. Kaleatha departed this life on a GOOD Friday, April 7, 2023. Her memory will live on in the hearts and memories of those she touched.
