The Life of Gerald Todd Larkins Gerald affectionally known as Todd was born May 30, 1962, to the parents of the late E. Pat Larkins and Bettye Larkins in Pompano Beach, Florida. Todd received his early education in the Broward County School System, attending Sanders Park Elementary, Crystal Lake Middle and Blanche Ely High School where he played basketball, graduating in the Class of 1980. After progressing through the Broward County Public School System, Todd enlisted in the U.S. Army. He went to Ft. Jackson, South Carolina for Basic Training. After basic training his military orders sent him to Kitzingen, Germany for 18 months. From his tour in Germany his next military orders were in Ft. Hood, Texas where he served the remaining of his service earning an Honorable Discharge with a SP4 rank. Todd was proud to have served his country. After honorably serving his country, Todd showcased his skills by working various jobs. He was employed by Comcast Cable Company and UPS. Todd found joy and love working with his uncles in their family-owned business “Lamar Construction” for many years. His life was cherished greatly by his family. Todd can be best described as a gentle soul that greeted everyone he met with a smile, and quite often giving his family and friends nicknames. Todd is preceded in death by his father, E. Pat Larkins. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving/devoted mother Bettye Lamar Larkins, 1 brother Tory Morrison, 7 Aunts: Viola Lamar-Johnson, Latrice Lamar, Shirley Lamar, Carol John (Charles), Shirley Larkins, and Wanda Griffin, and Veronica Griffin, 5 Uncles: Johnny Lamar Jr., Eddie Lamar (Estella), Dale Griffin, Vernon Griffin, Benny Lamar, and a host of other relatives and friends. “May God Bless his soul, May perpetual light shine upon him, and may he rest in eternal peace.
