In Loving Memory of Freddie Wimberly, Jr. Better Known as “Dump” “To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.”— Ecclesiastes 3: 1 A SEASON TO BE BORN Freddie Wimberly, Jr. came into this world on January 25, 1951, in Pompano Beach, Florida, to the parentage of the late Freddie Sr. and Inell Wimberly. a precious gift from the very start. From those early moments, it was clear that this boy was destined to bring light, laughter, and warmth to all who crossed his path. A SEASON TO LIVE AND SHINE Dump was educated in public schools in Pompano Beach graduating from Blanche Ely High School in the class of 1970. He was an exceptional football player, playing in the center position. Dump earned a football scholarship to FAMU. Upon returning to Pompano Dump met and was previously married to Annie Mae Jones. To this union one daughter Kaleatha “K.C.” was born. K.C. preceded her daddy in death. Also, he was blessed with a bonus son Anthony McCutcheon (Atlanta, Ga.) Dump worked several jobs before joining the Construction Labor Union. After several years he joined the Carpenters Union where he worked until his health began failing. Dump was a member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. With a heart rooted in faith and love, Dump cherished every gathering, every conversation, and every adventure. To him, life was about connections, about making people feel seen and valued. A SEASON TO REFLECT Through trials and victories, Dump trusted in the promise that “all things work together for the good of those who love Him” (Romans 8:28). A SEASON TO REST With profound trust in the Savior, he served, Freddie Wimberly, Jr. “Dump” was called Home to be with the Lord on June 14, 2025. at the Holy Cross Hospital. Though we grieve deeply, we stand upon the promises of Scripture — confident that Dump rests in the peace of the Almighty, embraced by the One he long served. A SEASON TO REMEMBER Today, we honor “Dump” who leaves behind cherished memories with one brother Carl Lee, (Ft. Lauderdale), one sister Betty Joyce Raysor (Pompano Beach), one brother-in-law Willie Clarence Jackson. (Deerfield Beach), three grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and countless others whose lives he blessed. Preceded him in death were his sisters Lula Jackson, Josephine and Sharon Wimberly. Let us give thanks for the seasons of Dump’s life, knowing that the seeds of joy, kindness, and love he planted will flourish for generations to come.
