Evangelist Kali Angela Dene Brown

The Life & Legacy of the Woman of God Evangelist Kali Angela Dene Brown “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day.” II Timothy 4:7-8 Kali Angela Dene Brown was born August 12, 1970, to the parentage of the late Ernest Dene Brown, Sr., and Patricia Ann Brown in the city of Fort Lauderdale, FL. She was the first of four children born to this blessed union. Evangelist Brown attended Oriole Elementary, Lauderdale Lakes Middle, Northeast High School, and graduated from Blanche Ely High. She went on to pursue her Bachelor’s & Master’s degrees in Theology, and she received her Ministry license from Solid Rock Institute. At an early age, Kali professed her faith in the Lord and joined Holy Redeemer Church of God in Christ in Fort Lauderdale, FL under the leadership of Bishop Harvey D. Bryan Sr. She was a faithful member of the choir and she would sing until the power of God would completely take over her. A devout leader and a great motivator, her focus was on saving souls by helping others to see the good in themselves. She was Anointed, Appointed and Approved by God. Evangelist Brown opened the doors of her church Jireh Outreach Ministry in Pompano Beach, Florida. She later started Gatekeepers National Prayer Ministry, every Wednesday night and noonday prayer on Friday. Evangelist Brown was faithful and dedicated until her health began to decline in August. Her quiet demeanor and positive outlook touched many lives. On Tuesday, October 25, 2022, after a courageous battle with her illness, Evangelist Kali Brown looked toward heaven and sang: “I’ve had some good days, I’ve had some hills to climb…I’ve had some weary days, and some sleepless nights… but when I look around, and I think things over…all of my good days, outweigh my bad days, and I WON’T COMPLAIN!” Although her captivating smile, compelling integrity and convivial aura will truly be missed, we know that “the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away!” Evangelist Kali Angela Dene Brown leaves to cherish her memories: her beautiful and loving mother Patricia Brown; two sisters: Sheri Brown Grosvenor (Sean), Coconut Creek FL; Crystalynn Brown, North Lauderdale; one brother: Ernest Dene Brown, Jr., Pembroke Pines, FL; five aunts: Minister Annette Goodwin, Nashville, GA; Beverly Pitts (her best friend), Pompano Beach, FL; Evangelist Arlene Pitts (Greg), Port St. Lucie, FL; Kathy Brown, Maryland, and Pauline Wiggins, of VA; four uncles: Gregory Pitts, Port St. Lucie, FL; Timothy Pitts, Pompano Beach, FL; Ned Brown, Deerfield Beach, FL, and Elijah Brown, Pompano Beach, FL; two nephews: Braxton McMillon, Coconut Creek, FL and Ernest Dene Brown, III, Pembroke Pines, FL; two nieces: Essence Brown of Pembroke Pines, FL; Najilynn Houser, North Lauderdale, FL; one brother-in-law: Sean Grosvenor of Coconut Creek, FL; and a very special cousin Robert Wilson and a host of sorrowing cousins and friends.
