REFLECTIONS ON THE OF LIFE CLAUDE LEE BAKER From Sunrise: May 13th, 1951 To Sunset: June 20th, 2022 I have fought a good fight ; I have finished the course. I have kept the faith. A Time to be Born Claude Lee Baker was born into this world on May 13th to his beloved parents: the late William Walter Baker and the late Lizzie D. Baker. As a child, Claude grew up in the beautiful city of Pompano Beach, Florida, where he attended Greater Bethel AME Church in Pompano Beach, Fl. In his later years of life he attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Ft. Lauderdale,Fl. Claude received his education at Coleman Elementary School and then Ely High School. His classmates described him as a “smart businessman who loved making money.” At the tender age of 18, Claude began working with Pompano Office Supply. By the age of 20 he mastered the business and became the owner of his successful business venture “Broward Cleaning Services." He worked hard to achieve professionalism & success, he was incredibly proud of his career. A Time to Live Claude was the seventh child of 12 siblings, all of whom he dearly loved. He is preceded in death by three of his sisters: Maggie Baker, Rosemary Baker and Nettie Baker and two of his brothers: Walter Baker Jr. and Abraham Baker. Claude was raised by his parents to love the Lord. He will be remembered for "his sense of humor and the extremely outspoken manner in which he held.” Claude also took great pride in his appearance, he was affectionately called “Boochy” by neighbors, family and friends. His crowning achievement was the birth of his three children. Christopher McClain, Claude Brooks and one loving daughter Heather McClain. Claude spent majority of his life working or visiting with his family, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He loved his family in his very own way. He leaves to cherish his memory: Three Dearly Beloved Children. Three Brothers: Homer Baker (Anne) of New Jersey. Charles Baker (Lori) of Flint, Michigan, Roosevelt Baker (Sherri) of Pompano, Florida. Three Sisters: Leola Taylor, Viola Rouse (Carl), and Carrie Baker all of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. A Time to Rest Claude's health began to decline over the years, and he was eventually forced to retire. On June 20th, 2022, at 2:16pm, Claude Lee Baker finished his earthly run. He leaves to mourn a host of grandchildren, great grands, nieces, nephews, special business partners and special friend Gwen. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, The Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort. Who comforts us in all our tribulations. We, The Baker Family thank you for all your calls, and expressions of love.
