Alfred Leonard Bailey, Sr.

Reflections of Life For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, and his truth endureth to all generations. (Psalms 100:5). The LORD KNEW ALFRED before he was born. A TIME TO BE BORN Mr. Alfred Leonard Bailey was born December 24th, 1960, in Pompano Beach, Florida to the late Alfred Bailey and Dorothy Mae Clayton. A time to build up Alfred received his early childhood education in Pompano Beach, Florida. He played sports for Ely High School, where he gained his love for football. He later attended Delaware State University, where he played Football, Backgammon & was known as the best chicken fryer on campus. As a young child, he was baptized at the 15th Street Church of Christ – in Pompano Beach Florida. He attended 15th Street until his death under the leadership of Brother Anthony Campbell, Sr Minister & Shawn King, Assistance Minister. A TIME TO GATHER STONES TOGETHER Alfred was a doer, filling multiple hats, as a Chef, Mortician, Coach and Barber. He loved working, joking and entertaining others. He especially enjoyed working with his family at Jenkins Restaurant. He also worked at Flaming Pit, as Chef, which was one of his favorite jobs. A TIME TO PLANT So, they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate. (Matthew 19:6) Alfred was married to Patricia Murrell (who proceeded him in death) and to this union came Keisha Murrell and one son was born Alfred Jr. Being a widower Alfred was remarried to Etta Scott and from this union one daughter was born Allison Bailey. A time to Love Alfred enjoyed bringing souls to Christ, working on various ministries, and delivering lections to the church, when given the opportunity to speak to the congregation. He loved all his Family, unconditionally. His kids and grandkids were his greatest accomplishments. A time die On August 17th, 2022, in Coral Springs Fl, Alfred was Called to his eternal rest. A Time to Weep Alfred was proceeded in death by his mother Dorothy Mae Clayton, father Alfred Bailey Sr. stepfather Thomas Davis, brother Michael Clayton, and sister Patricia Davis. He leaves to mourn his untimely demise and cherish his blessed memory: His children, Alfred, Allison and stepdaughter Keisha. Sisters: Gloria, Michelle, Elayne, Barbara. Brothers: Charles, Chester, Thomas. 15 Grandkids: a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends
