Theresa Green

Her Story…. Theresa Broomfield was born in Vidalia Ga. on December 1st, 1951. God gave a gift to the late Alice and James Broomfield. Theresa was designed to leave her mark through the heavenly capabilities and unction. This was her stamp, and she served as a blessing to others (a songbird) through song. You name it, she could sing it. At the age of five, the family relocated to Pompano Beach, FL. She attended Pompano Beach Colored School (Old Coleman). Theresa went on to Junior High where she sang in the High School chorus and graduated from Blanche Ely High School. After she graduated, she went on to further her career as a licensed nurse at Texas University. Upon leaving Texas University, Theresa found herself entering the doors of Imperial Point Medical Center Hospital, to put forth her good work. She remained a dedicated employee of Imperial Point Medical Center for over 40 years, where she then retired. Once Theresa settled into her career, she became married, which led to the blissful birth of two children: (daughter) Terrell N. Green and (Son) Henry D. Green (Angel). Theresa loved life. She loved singing. She was a people person and loved to encourage everyone. She never wanted to speak negatively of anyone. She always saw the best in everyone she encountered. One of her most endearing traits was that she always spoke her mind out of a heart of love. Theresa had a gift of ministering God’s word to inspire, uplift, encourage, and spread love to anyone that crossed her path. In addition to being a single parent and raising two children, Theresa was a devoted member of Royal Assembly Church of the Living God for many years, under the leadership of the (Late) Bishop L.W. Williams, where she song in various choirs. God used her through singing to touch and bless the lives of many. She was also the choir director for the #2 choir. She then moved her membership to Faith Deliverance Cathedral, where she served as a Missionary, Song Leader, and Choir Director under the leadership of Dr. James A. Rorie. Theresa then served as a faithful Missionary, Minister, Prayer Intercessor, and Worship Leader at Destiny Worship Center International under the leadership of Co-Pastor Elder Lowell Edwards and the (Late) Pastor and Founder – Apostle Helen Edwards. In addition to her daughter (Terrell) and her son (Henry), Theresa leaves to cherish her memory, two brothers (Jimmy Broomfield), (deceased) Eugene Broomfield, two aunts: Doretha Baker and Veola Clark, one uncle: Adrian Jackson (Sarah), two grandsons: Jamari Williams Green (Alexis) and Brandon Green, one granddaughter: Jailah Butler, three nieces: Audrey Broomfield, Katrina Black, Chiquita Sapp and Jammiah Broomfield, along with a host of great nephews, great nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. Theresa would push and encourage everyone far more than she would push and encourage herself, because of her love for people. She placed everyone’s well-being a priority over her own. She had a sincere love for people, but most importantly, she loved God with all her heart without question, fear, or doubt. She maintained her faith and love for God in every circumstance and situation. Theresa was Amazing.
